Why semperMade Stays US-Only, Permanently

US-only delivery is not a marketing label. It is a structural choice that affects who can touch the code, how fast decisions travel, and what happens when something goes wrong. semperMade is remote-first, US-based, and permanently domestic in delivery. We do not offshore engineering work, and we do not hire downstream subcontractors or outside development firms to perform the engineering we proposed.

The short answer

When a client hires semperMade, they work with semperMade. Every engineer is US-based, every commit is reviewed by our team, and every client-facing conversation is held by someone who can read the codebase. That removes the coordination drag, the rework cycles, and the supply-chain ambiguity that often come with layered outsourcing.

What US-only actually changes

Time zones matter when a production issue is active. A team that wakes up in the same legal and business context as its client can escalate faster and decide faster. Domestic delivery also means domestic employment law, domestic security clearances where relevant, and a straightforward chain of custody for sensitive data.

The real cost difference is not the hourly rate. It is the cost of explaining a requirement twice, debugging a bug that was introduced by a handoff, and rebuilding a feature that was misunderstood because the implementer was not in the same room as the domain. We cover that math in US-Based Development vs Offshore Outsourcing.

Why this matters for federal work

Federal programs have additional constraints: US-person requirements, data residency rules, SAM.gov registration, and supply-chain documentation. A US-only team satisfies those constraints by default, not by exception. semperMade is registered in SAM.gov with UEI UDW5UGEXF5S3 and CAGE 191F9, and is SBA certified as an SDVOSB, VOSB, and HUBZone Small Business through May 28, 2029. The same domestic delivery model applies to both commercial and federal engagements.

What we do not do

  • We do not subcontract engineering work to offshore firms while keeping the client relationship in the US.
  • We do not staff engagements with layers of account managers who cannot read the code.
  • We do not treat domestic delivery as a premium add-on.

How it affects the work

The teams that deliver fastest are the ones with the shortest path between a question and the person who can answer it. Our team model keeps every role technical, so clients do not waste cycles translating business requirements through non-technical intermediaries. The result is fewer surprises, faster feedback, and software that matches what was actually asked for.

When to ask about delivery geography

If you are evaluating a vendor, ask where the engineers who will touch your code are located, who their employer is, and whether any of the proposed work will be performed by another company. The answers matter more than the hourly rate. If the answer is unclear, the risk is higher than the proposal suggests.

At semperMade, the answer is clear. The work is done here, by us, and that is not going to change.
